Matthias Ott has been linking up Type Foundries all month. Pretty rad idea!
I’m just an absolute sucker for buying type sometimes, especially right now as I’ve happily moved to Typeface 3 and I enjoy using it. Plus, I’ve been slowly evolving this sites design and it’s a very different site than where it started, but the type hasn’t really evolved along with it.
So, from his Day 17 writeup on Studio René Bieder I ended up buying Neue Faktum Condensed (just in Semibold) for the headers on this site.
And for the body copy, from his Day 21 writeup on HvDÂ Fonts, I went with Brix Sans (got Regular, Regular Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic). Brix didn’t seem particularly highly featured, but it looked to me like what they were using as the body copy on their own site. It looked good in that context and what a foundry uses for itself is a high endorsement!
