I love me some old-time music.
Here is a list of songs I am really enjoying:
- “Willie Taylor” by Uncle Earl
- “June Apple” by Foghorn Stringband
- “Looking for you” by Free Peoples
- “Exactly Like You” by Hot Club of Cowtown
- “Wishful Thinking” by The Ditty Bops
Thoughts?

Also CodePen PRO is quite a deal. 🙏
thanks for the links. apparently foghorn is playing within walking distance (a common term which does not apply to me personally as any place outside of the front yard is outside of my realistic “walking distance”) from my house tomorrow. If I can drag the woman away from the O.C. I’m totally there.
in case you were wondering, this is a visual representation of what I consider “walking distance” but is well outside of my actual walking distance. I also think the concept along with the map would have made a great premise for a sierra adventure game circa 1989. a major choice in the game would be whether or not to go through the park I’d imagine.

Speaking of 1989, I’m going to post a picture or two of some photoshop’d Choose Your Own Adventure books tomorrow. Some of the funniest shit I’ve seen in a while.
I can’t remember all of them now, but one of them was titled:
Chose your own Chose your own Adventure Adventure
and had a bunch of different CYOA book covers all over it.
that does sound like a good choose your own adventure. I’ve been given the go ahead to plan on the foghorn concert tonight. apparently it’s a square dance with bill monroe calling, sounds like a hoot. I also ran across a website that has free software for making late 80’s/early 90’s style adventure games. so as soon as I’m able to start getting out of bed before noon I may look into making “get zervas to the squaredance” a reality. http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/
That looks pretty cool, I’d play it if you made it. I love that they have this right on their homepage:
NOTE: AGS is not for everyone….It is recommended that you….can think logically and you know the difference between your hard drive and your RAM.
