Look at this clock.

It’s a clock.
I bought it once because I needed… a clock.
It’s $29, which is totally reasonable for… a clock.
Then it was Daylight Saving Time one day, and I went to update it, but… it was already updated.
That’s because:
The Atomic Time Feature conveniently allows the clock to sync with the WWVB radio transmission from Fort Collins, CO, for accurate time updates.
That’s amazing?
It listens to a radio signal and adjusts itself to the correct time, even during major time changes.
What a kick-ass UX, while seemingly being no more expensive.
Also: you can just put one battery in it to work, or you can put 2 batteries in it, and it’ll work longer, or 3 batteries, and it’ll last over 5 years.
What the what.
Now it just needs to dust itself, and it’ll be the greatest home device ever.
I want it. But does it make a tick….tick….tick sound?
I bought one of these (digital tho) in like 1999.. how is it not the norm on everything by now
I biught a digital one in the bazar aisle of Aldi here in Spain for like 8 euros. Thereβs a similar system that broadcasts out of Germany. Signal is pretty low this far south but works if I go up onto my apartment roof. I do that once every six months or so.
