Did you buy The Legend of Korra: Book 2 on AppleTV? I’ve made you this handy guide!
|AppleTV Show Number||What It Actually Is|
|2||“Bonus” thing that is kinda neat but should be available somewhere other than the main frigging show list|
|3||“Bonus” thing that is kinda neat but should be available somewhere other than the main frigging show list|
|5||“Bonus” thing that is kinda neat but should be available somewhere other than the main frigging show list|
|7||Episode 3, part 1|
|9||Episode 3, part 2|
|16||Episode 6, part 1|
|18||Episode 6, part 2|
|101||Marketing blah blah|
|102||Marketing blah blah|
|103||Marketing blah blah|
12 actual episodes buried in between clips of other crap that makes me want to hate it no matter how interesting it is.

Some think it’s their best ad ever.
Some think it’s sad.
When I watch it, I think about how the kid is probably fairly introverted and thinks things like holiday parties are kinda tortuous and hard to get through. But, he’s a good kid and loves his family. He’s also creative and likes making stuff. He uses the phone to escape a little bit without having to lock himself in his room or do something else extreme that he has learned doesn’t go over very well.
(Yeah I know it’s just some actor in an ad, but I think marketing towards introverts (50% of the population) is interesting.)

I went to go see a movie last night. There was a preview for A Haunted House 2. There was a scene where a safe falls on a dog and dude goes “Call 911! Tell ’em the dog is white! Tell ’em the dog is white!” The audience laughs.
When I got out of the movie and was farting around on Twitter, I learned that a woman named Justine Sacco tweeted “Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get AIDS. Just kidding. I’m white!” The audience gets very mad.
Please don’t think I’m taking anyone’s side here. My only point is that, whether or not you think race jokes are ever OK, it’s hard to know what the rest of the world is going to think, because apparently it ranges from “very funny haha” to “not at all OK.”
