BAGLES

I saw Chris Glass post about a Katie Anderson tweet that’s just gold. There is a 1975 book Basic Computer Games (which you can read online in full) that literally shows 101 games in the classic programming language BASIC. Not just, like, a screenshot of the game, but the entire source code.

As I started paging through it, the game BAGLES stood out.

I wonder if that’s exactly what inspired Katie to do Wordle in this style. Apparently there is an even closer match though.
