Enjoying Craftsmanship

I’m not a woodworker but I like watching Norm Abram.
I’m not that into security but I like listening to Steve Gibson.
I’m not much of a chef but I watch Alton Brown.
It’s just entertaining to watch people super good at what they do practice their trade, whatever the subject.
Totally agree, just finished watching this guy do his thing, pretty amazing stuff:

This is the reason we enjoy your start-finish screencasts on wordpress, Chris.
Watching creative people be creative, hard to beat that. =)
I share some of the same idols… I think it’s because I love to learn, and I love watching the creation of things, It allows me to break it down and get a good understanding.
Ha, I know exactly what you mean! I don’t even own any power tools but I get inspired by watching This Old House and The New Yankee Workshop. Oh, and I might add The Joy of Painting w/ Bob Ross.
Definitely Bob Ross! I was memorized by one of his just the other day.
Mr. Coyier –
I am impressed by the “garage door” type menus and photo web tricks I’ve seen on your site.
Just wondering, being an amateur web designer (inheriting my site after programmer left) – how does one arrange to purchase this garage door.js? Is there any company selling an add-on that idiots like me can understand?
thanks – Mark

We just finished this http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelcrash/4781111392/ in our studio and it was great to get some work done without the use of a keyboard
