Just because it was created by semi-professionals and has an insincere comedic flair doesn't make it less real. I agree with you that calling it a "local" commercial would probably be a bit of a stretch. However, reading your initial thoughts on the commercial just struck me as puzzling as you seemed convinced the whole concept was fabricated.
